People’s metadata

The metadata you will use to tag people in your directory must be defined in the Administrative Panel – People’s Metadata beforehand.

Panorama allows you to add metadata to people’s profiles to better organise your directory. To do so you will need to access the Administrative Panel- People Metadata beforehand.

Once within the People’s metadata, you will come across two types of metadata: Custom and Fixed.

  • Custom: Personalized metadata that can be created by the client where the name, type of data, and data configuration can be modified. There is no limit to the number of custom metadata created.
  • Fixed: 17 preloaded metadata that cannot be modified or deleted. However, these can be deactivated and duplicated as custom metadata. These include Organization, Section, City, Function, Employee ID, Department, Level, Manager ID, Manager Name, Position, Mobile, Nationality, Gender, Shift, Country, Hire Date, and Departure Risk.

Within both types of Metadata, you have the option of modifying the data configuration.

  • Obligatory data: Required filed to create a person.
  • Required in auto-registration forms: Required files that must be filled by participants when applying to projects through auto-registration forms. This will not be required for externals.
  • Erasable data: Any trace of this data will be erased when removing someone from the platform.
  • Visible in reports: Will appear in the projects (HR) reports as participant information.
  • Visible in feedback reports: Will appear in the project’s feedback reports as participant information. This can be sent to participants.

When creating custom metadata, you have must decide what type of values you wish to collect:

  • Choice: This requires you to create values that will appear in a drop-down menu. When creating people, you will need to select from this menu.
  • Open text: This allows you to type any value when creating people.

Have a look at the video below to find out how to add metadata.
